Imam Saheed Salahudeen Installed As Chief Imam Of Ile Iyalode Onikeke Mosque In Ibadan

Imam Saheed Owolabi Salahudeen has been turbaned as the new Chief Imam of the Ile Iyalode Onikeke family house mosque in Ojaba, Ibadan.

The turbaning ceremony, which took place at the frontage of the family house mosque, attracted Islamic scholars, family members, community leaders, friends and well-wishers who gathered to witness the formal installation.

The ceremony marked the official assumption of office by Imam Salahudeen as the Chief Imam of one of the notable mosques in the area.

The installation was conducted by the League of Imams and Alfas of Ward C2, Ibadan South-West Local Government Area.

Speaking with journalists in Ibadan after his turbaning, Imam Salahudeen pledged to uphold justice, fairness and sincerity in the discharge of his duties, assuring members of the congregation of his commitment to promoting the teachings of Islam while carrying out his responsibilities with integrity and dedication.

In his sermon, Sheikh Kamilu Abdul Kareem advised the newly installed Chief Imam to continually seek Islamic knowledge, stressing that spiritual leadership requires wisdom and deeper understanding of religious teachings.

He urged Imam Salahudeen to lead by example and remain committed to guiding the congregation in line with the doctrines and principles of Islam.

Family elders at the event described the new Chief Imam as a humble and knowledgeable Islamic scholar with a strong passion for the propagation of Islam.

They commended his character, dedication and contributions to the growth of Islamic knowledge within the community.

The ceremony also featured the presentation of a certificate to Imam Salahudeen and special prayers for divine guidance, wisdom and success in his new role.
