Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, a prominent governorship aspirant under the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Oyo State, has pledged to enhance the state’s education sector as part of his broader vision for the future.

In a press briefing on Sunday, Ajadi emphasized his dedication to nurturing grassroots talents and supporting vulnerable children in the state, should he be elected as governor in 2027.

As part of his educational commitment, Ajadi unveiled the “Back-to-School Initiative,” set to launch on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, across all seven geopolitical zones of the state, coinciding with the resumption of the 2025/2026 third term.

The initiative aims to assist over 200 vulnerable pupils with essential school items such as uniforms, socks, sandals, and other educational materials.
Ajadi expressed that the initiative would complement the efforts of Governor Seyi Makinde’s administration in addressing the issue of out-of-school children in the state.

In partnership with the Catch Them Young Campaign Initiative, the programme will focus on pupils attending government-owned primary schools throughout Oyo State.

The first phase of the initiative will target select schools in Ibadan, including Ode Aje Primary School, Kumapayi Primary School (Olodo), IDC Primary School (Odo-Ona), L.A. Special School (Gate), and St. Luke’s Demonstration Basic School (Molete).

Ajadi revealed that the initiative would expand to other zones in the state in the coming weeks.
