Ilias Olushola Ojoye Foundation Launches Scholarship Scheme at The Polytechnic Ibadan

The Ilias Olushola Ojoye Foundation has launched its inaugural scholarship programme, awarding ₦250,000 each to four outstanding students of The Polytechnic, Ibadan. The presentation was held on October 28, 2025, at the Accountancy Department of the institution.
The scholarship scheme — instituted by Mr. Ibrahim Ojoye and his wife, Mrs. Ibironke Ojoye — is dedicated to immortalising the legacy of Late Illias Olusola Ojoye, Mr. Ojoye’s younger brother, who passed away at a young age.
The initiative targets indigent and academically deserving students from Ibadan and Ondo State, reflecting the
family’s dual roots and commitment to building future leaders.

Speaking at the presentation, the foundation’s representative, Mrs. Temilade Nana-Hawaw Aloko, a broadcast journalist with Splash FM Ibadan, expressed gratitude to the foundation and its founder for prioritizing educational support. She explained that although she has previously facilitated scholarships in the department on behalf of another foundation, this marks the first official edition under the Ilias Olushola Ojoye Foundation, and serves as the beginning of a long-term commitment to assist dedicated and brilliant students.
Mrs. Aloko emphasized the foundation’s dedication to uplifting young scholars and bridging financial gaps that often hinder academic pursuit. She also highlighted that the scholarship is part of the family’s effort to sustain the legacy of the late Mr. Ilias Olushola Ojoye, younger brother to Mr. Ibrahim Ojoye.

First Edition Under the Foundation
Mrs. Aloko noted that although she has supported students in the department in the past through another foundation, this marks the first official edition under the Ilias Olushola Ojoye Foundation, with plans to expand annually.
HOD Commends Donors
The Head of Accountancy Department, Dr. O.A. Adekola, commended the donors and acknowledged Mrs. Aloko’s consistent support to students over the years.
“This is the inaugural edition under this foundation, but she has been helping our students consistently through other platforms. When she proposed including other departments, we gladly supported the expansion. We appreciate this noble legacy.”
He added that the department monitors beneficiaries to ensure funds are properly utilised for academic purposes and prayed for continued blessings on the Ojoye family.

The NAOSS Staff Adviser, Dr. Banji Adepoju, and the NAOSS President, Comrade Oluloro Emmanuel Oluwadamilare, expressed profound appreciation on behalf of Ondo State students, describing the gesture as impactful and inspiring.
