Omo Ajorosun Club in Ibadan Elects New Executive Council by Landslide Victory.
Following a historic election at the club’s secretariat on April 28th, 2024, Chief Sunday Oyekanmi Gbenjo emerged as the President of Omo Ajorosun Club, Ibadan, securing 71 votes in a decisive win over his opponent, Dr. Robinson Omotajo, who received 47 votes.
Chief Gbenjo, a respected administrator and community leader, pledged to honor the legacy of the late President, Engr. Akinpelu Solomon Adeniji, and past leaders. He vowed to prioritize member welfare, youth empowerment, and community development in his tenure.
The election, prompted by the unfortunate passing of President Engr. Akinpelu Solomon Adeniji last December, also saw Dr. Olugbade Omotajo resign from his position as Public Relations Officer to contest against Chief Gbenjo. The new Public Relations Officer secured victory with 90 votes.
The transparent and peaceful conduct of the election earned commendations from members.
Omo Ajorosun Club, Ibadan, known for its socio-cultural contributions, is anticipated to continue its positive impact under the leadership of the new executive council.
