Police Recruitment: FCC Commissioner Aleshinloye Raises Concern Over Low Turnout of Shortlisted Applicants in Oyo

The Federal Character Commission (FCC) Commissioner representing Oyo State, Prince Ayodeji Abass Aleshinloye, has expressed concern over the low turnout of shortlisted applicants in the ongoing Nigeria Police recruitment exercise.

Speaking during an interview with journalists, Aleshinloye urged youths across the state—especially those who have successfully applied, been shortlisted, and invited for screening—to take full advantage of the opportunity before the exercise concludes on the 18th of this month.

He emphasized the importance of active participation, noting that failure of eligible candidates to present themselves for screening could negatively impact Oyo State’s representation in the Nigeria Police Force.
According to him, other regions of the country are already maximizing similar opportunities, stressing that Oyo youths must not be left behind in securing their fair share of federal placements.

Aleshinloye further reiterated his commitment to promoting awareness of the core principles of the Federal Character Commission, which include fairness, equity, and inclusiveness. He noted that these principles are essential to ensuring that no state or group is marginalized in federal recruitment processes.

He concluded by reaffirming his dedication to advocating for Oyo State’s rightful representation at the federal level, assuring that efforts will continue to ensure that available opportunities are not missed by eligible candidates in the state.
