Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, Passes On at 90.
Ibadan was thrown into mourning on Monday, July 7, 2025, following the passing of the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin.
The revered monarch reportedly joined his ancestors in the early hours of Monday, barely two days after celebrating his 90th birthday on July 5.
Oba Olakulehin, who was crowned as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland, received his staff of office from Oyo State Governor, Engr. Seyi Makinde, on July 12, 2024. He spent just a year on the throne before his demise.
