Oyo State Governor, ‘Seyi Makinde, has approved the appointment of Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakuleyin as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland.
The governor’s approval was formalized in a memo signed on June 14, 2024, leveraging the powers granted by Section 19 (Cap 28) Law of Oyo State 2000, as amended.
According to a statement from the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Honourable Olusegun Olayiwola, this approval is the result of a comprehensive process outlined by the state’s laws governing royal ascension.
The governor extended his congratulations to the new Olubadan, expressing hopes that his reign will usher in significant developments for both Ibadanland and Oyo State.
