Oyo NAWOJ Marks 2024 International Day of the Girl Child.
The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Oyo State Chapter, joins the global community to commemorate the International Day of the Girl Child.
Chairperson, Oyo NAWOJ,Mrs Omolola Alamu, said
With the Theme: “Girls vision for the future”,”This year’s theme resonates with NAWOJ’s commitment to promoting girls’ education, health, and protection.
Mrs Alamu however urged the Government to
Increase investment in girls’ education and skills development.
Oyo NAWOJ also appeal to the Government for Protection of girl child from child marriage, violence, and exploitation.
The chairperson of OYO Nawoj also advocate Equal access to healthcare and economic opportunities for girl child so as to fulfill their own quota in the nation’s development.
Mrs Alamu therefore called on stakeholders, and individuals to prioritize girls’ empowerment for a brighter future.
