Oyo NAWOJ Champions Girls as Change Leaders on International Day of the Girl-Child

Nigeria Association of Women Journalists, NAWOJ, Oyo state Chapter has joined the global community in celebrating the International Day of the Girl-child.
In a statement by the Chairperson of the Association ,Mrs Omolola Alamu and the Secretary, Mrs Eniola Adeaga ,this year’s theme, “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis,” highlights the critical role girls play in leading change and navigating challenges in their communities.
Oyo NAWOJ believes that girls are not just the future, but the present.
It also recognizes the strength and resilience of girls on the frontlines of crisis, and the Association is committed to supporting and empowering them to lead change in their communities.
The International Day of the Girl-Child serves as a reminder of the importance of investing in girls’ education, health, and well-being, particularly in crisis situations.
Oyo NAWOJ urges all stakeholders to join hands together at protecting the Girl-child in the Society.
