Oyo Declares Friday a Half Working Day Ahead of LG Polls.
Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has given his approval for Friday, April 26, 2024, to be designated as a half working day for all public and civil servants in the state.
This decision comes in light of the upcoming local government election scheduled for Saturday, April 27, 2024, as stated in a release by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Mr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju.
According to a circular signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Professor Olanike Adeyemo, government offices will close by 12 noon on Friday. However, personnel involved in essential services are required to remain at their duty posts.
The circular further encourages all public and civil servants to actively participate in exercising their civic rights on Saturday, April 27, 2024.
