NAWOJ Oyo Chapter kicks off Week-Long Celebration with Thanksgiving Service.
The Nigeria Association of Women Journalists (NAWOJ), Oyo State Chapter, has commenced its Week activities with a thanksgiving service held at Oritamefa Baptist Church, Ibadan.
The event, which brought together NAWOJ members from across the state, aimed to express gratitude for blessings throughout the year and seek guidance for the week ahead.
Clad in colorful uniforms, the female journalists, joined by the Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, Oyo State Council, Comrade Ademola Babalola, filled the church with joy and showcased their dancing skills.
Delivering a sermon titled “When God Decides to Transform a Home,” guest Minister Rev’d Mike Babatunde drew his message from 1 Peter 3:1-7, emphasizing God’s transformative power through women.
Rev’d Diran Adeleke, the church Pastor, commended the female journalists for beginning their week with gratitude.
The thanksgiving service marked the start of NAWOJ Oyo Chapter’s week-long activities.
