Leadership Gaps, Not the People, Fuel Oke-Ogun Agitation — Baàmẹ̀kọ́.

The Baàmẹ̀kọ́ of Ibadanland, an aspiring candidate in the Oyo State Governorship race under the umbrella of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has attributed the ongoing agitation in the Oke-Ogun region to leadership injustice rather than any fault of the people.
Speaking during recent interviews on Splash FM’s State Affairs and Success FM’s Front Burner, Saheed Oladele emphasized the urgent need for equal development across the state.
Oladele, a strong advocate for balanced governance, declared:
“If you have a governor who develops all regions equally, nobody will be agitating for any region to take over.”
He promised to develop all 33 local governments in Oyo State simultaneously if elected into office.
The Baàmẹ̀kọ́ criticized past leaders for neglecting the Oke-Ogun region, citing the lack of a university as a glaring example of inequality:
“How can there be 10 solid local governments without a single university?” he lamented.
Calling for equal opportunities across the state, Oladele’s message was clear: every region deserves equal access to amenities and development.
He believes that once such disparities are addressed, agitation will end, and true unity and joy will be restored across Oyo State.
As he envisions a new era of inclusive progress, Baàmẹ̀kọ́’s remarks have sparked renewed hope among the people—especially in the Oke-Ogun region—who are eager for meaningful change and equity.
