Easter: Aleshinloye Calls for Unity, Fairness, and National Renewal

The Federal Character Commissioner, Prince Ayodeji Abass Aleshinloye, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across Nigeria, urging them to embrace the core values of sacrifice, love, and selflessness symbolized by the season.

In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Oladiipo Adegoke, and made available to journalists, Aleshinloye called on Nigerians to reflect deeply on the teachings of Jesus Christ, especially the virtues that promote peaceful coexistence and national harmony.
He stressed the importance of unity among citizens, regardless of religious or ethnic affiliations, noting that sustainable national development can only thrive in an atmosphere of peace, mutual respect, and togetherness.

Drawing a connection between the Easter message and the mandate of the Federal Character Commission, Aleshinloye highlighted the need for fairness, equity, and inclusiveness in the distribution of opportunities and resources across the country. He emphasized that these principles remain vital to fostering a sense of belonging among all Nigerians.

The National Deputy Chairman of NALGON Emeritus further encouraged citizens to use the Easter period as a time for reflection and reconciliation, urging them to set aside differences and work collectively toward the stability and progress of the nation.
According to him, the spirit of Easter should inspire a renewed commitment to compassion, justice, and nation-building, as Nigerians strive to build a more united and prosperous society.

Aleshinloye, who is also a former ALGON Chairman in Oyo State, concluded by wishing Christians a peaceful and fulfilling Easter celebration. He also called for continued prayers for the unity, peace, and development of Nigeria.
