Aare of Ibadanland, Alhaji De-Damak, Celebrates Olubadan at 90.
The Aare of Ibadanland and Aare Musulumi of Yorubaland, Edo, and Delta States, His Eminence Alhaji (Dr.) Dawud Makanjuola Akinola (De-Damak), has congratulated the Olubadan of Ibadanland, His Imperial Majesty Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, on his 90th birthday.
In a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Faysol Oluwakemi, Alhaji Akinola described the Olubadan as a revered monarch whose life reflects humility, wisdom, and an unwavering dedication to justice, peace, and Ibadan’s cultural heritage.
He noted that Oba Olakulehin’s journey to the throne is both historic and symbolic of divine grace and lifelong service to the people.
“His Majesty’s reign has been a beacon of unity, tradition, and progress,” Alhaji Akinola said, urging all sons and daughters of Ibadan to use the occasion to recommit themselves to these shared values.
He also prayed for the Olubadan’s continued good health, long life, and a peaceful reign, adding, “May the throne continue to flourish under Kabiyesi’s leadership. Long live Olubadan!”
