Football enthusiasts are hopeful that the Super Eagles will emerge victorious in their final group match against Guinea Bissau in the ongoing Total Energies African Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.

Expressing their optimism in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria in Enugu, fans cautioned the national team against underestimating Guinea Bissau, emphasizing the potential dangers of doing so.

Johnpaul Okolo, a fan, conveyed his confidence in a significant victory for the Super Eagles, stating, “I am not afraid of Guinea Bissau because I know the Eagles will beat them even with a wide margin. My advice to the team is that they should go all out from the blast of the whistle and get quick goals and never to underrate their opponent.”

Chidinma Ibezim expressed her lack of concern about the match, noting that a draw would be sufficient for the Super Eagles to qualify for the next round. However, she cautioned against complacency, emphasizing the unpredictable nature of football and urging the team to play with full strength, avoiding mistakes that could lead to defeat.

Obiora Edeh shared his belief that the match might not be as straightforward as anticipated, acknowledging Guinea Bissau’s determination to redeem their image despite losing their last two games. He advised the Super Eagles to be in peak form to overcome their opponents, cautioning against underestimating the resilience of the Guinea-Bissau team.

Edeh concluded by stating, “I don’t see the game as easy as people think; I will not be surprised if it ends in a draw, even though I would love Nigeria to carry the day.” As of now, the Super Eagles hold the second position in the group, trailing behind Equatorial Guinea, who are set to face hosts Cote d’Ivoire on Monday.
